A rare opportunity to work with John Coleman, a sculptor I have admired for a very long time. I am delighted to have a chance work with him on portraiture and composition. As a sculptor it is always a good idea to work on your own and then take those skills to a workshop and put them to the test.

2015 - October - Magic

Many artists travel into the wilderness to learn about their subject and gain inspiration. T This fall I am looking at history, and the present, and head to England and Scotland.

I have an opportunity to paint horses from Life on the grounds and paddocks of the Sir Alfred J. Munnings Museum at Castle House in Dedham, Colchester – East Anglia, England.

A. J. Munnings was a brilliant painter of the horse, and the countyside and I have been i inspired by his work since I was a kid. Castle House was once his home and is now a museum of his w work.
The museum included his studio and a lovely collection of his work throughout his home. The instruction will be provided by Malcolm Coward and Charles Church – two English painters who focus on on what I love, horses, dogs and the countryside. What a brilliant inspiration!

This adventure will include work at Newmarket – the famous gallops and yards of Horse racing. Warren Hill gallops and The Home of the National Horseracing Museum – this is the history of of racing and I am delighted to be able to walk the grounds of racing history that inspired many sp sporting artists of the past and present.
